Loyalty Day 2025 speaker spotlight: Joe White, Greenpeace International

Updated: Nov 5

Joe is a Fundraising and Supporter Experience Manager in the Loyalty and Development Team at Greenpeace International, where he collaborates with colleagues working in national and regional Greenpeace organisations (NROs) all over the world to raise money and provide experiences that surprise and delight supporters.

What brought you to supporter experience?

My career in fundraising has spanned more than 20 years and supporter experience has always been my biggest passion. Before coming to Greenpeace International I worked in agencies on all aspects of fundraising: from acquisition to legacy fundraising, events to cash appeals and everything in between.

Working with charities big and small, these experiences across all areas of supporter engagement shaped my passion for delivering meaningful relationships with supporters.

Because I believe it’s those relationships which grow long-lasting shared value - and create a positive change in the world.

What will you be speaking about at Loyalty Day?

In an increasingly challenging acquisition landscape, I believe that retaining supporters is becoming ever more crucial.

At Greenpeace International, we’ve embarked on the journey to understand, in depth, what motivates donors across our global network. The goal: to discover what creates long-term engagement and value and, therefore, what should be embedded at the heart of each NRO's supporter experiences.

We developed a range of hypotheses around why people give to Greenpeace in different countries, and what emotional connections will be core to long term engagement and loyalty.

At Loyalty Day 2025, I’ll share what we found!
