Loyalty Day 2025 speaker spotlight: Ken Burnett reflects on donor loyalty and The Commission on the Donor Experience

Updated: 22 hours ago

Our Loyalty Day keynote speaker, Ken Burnett, almost needs no introduction – but we’re going to give him one anyway.

Co-Founder of the SOFII Foundation and The Commission on the Donor Experience, inspirational speaker and best-selling author of several books on donor development and communication, Ken believes fundraising done well really can enrich the lives of donors, fundraisers and everyone engaged in the issues and causes that together they transform around the world.

But to do that, fundraisers first have to change fundraising itself.

What will you be speaking about at Loyalty Day?

"Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a second chance. This could be it. But this time, we must grasp it.

In 2015, Giles Pegram CBE and I co-founded The Commission on the Donor Experience. More than 2,000 volunteers responded, and a uniquely valuable and massive body of work was defined and published.

It marked a seismic moment in the landscape of UK charity fundraising. But was it enough?

I believe that all charities can – and should – place supporters at the heart of their fundraising. The future of fundraising is delivering great supporter experiences, and I hope you will join us."
